Money and the pool

Private balance

The SOL you hold in the pool, shown on Home. Only your account can spend it. Trades are paid for from it.

The pool

The Privacy Cash shielded pool on Solana. WiSP does not run it. It holds your private balance as notes and pays the wallets the app funds.

Note

How the pool records an amount it holds for you. You never handle notes directly; the app adds them up into your private balance.

Shield

Moving SOL from a wallet into your private balance. The deposit is public. See Shield SOL.

Funding address

An address the app derives for your account. SOL that arrives there, from an exchange or another chain, can be shielded from inside the app.

Withdraw

Moving SOL from your private balance back to a wallet, or to another chain. The pool provider charges a fee on every withdrawal. See Withdraw.

Return to the pool

Sending a position wallet's SOL back into your private balance after you sell. The app also calls this a sweep.

Sweep

Same as a return to the pool. The Sweeps screen lists wallets whose SOL can go back.

Wallets and positions

Fresh wallet

A wallet the app creates for one token. Nothing has happened in it before the pool funds it.

Ready wallet

A fresh wallet already funded from your private balance, with no token chosen yet. A buy from it goes out at once. See Ready wallets.

Position

A token you hold, and the wallet that holds it. One token, one wallet.

Standard size

One of the sizes a wallet can be funded at: 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 10 SOL. In the code it is called a rung.

Rung

The code's word for a standard size. Some messages still use it.

Position statuses

READY: funded, no token chosen. FUNDED: funded for a chosen token, not bought yet. HOLDING: holds the token. PENDING: sold, SOL waiting to return to the pool. RETIRED: the SOL went back and the wallet is done. RECOVERED: an extra chip on a wallet found by a rebuild from your phrase. See Your positions.

Trading

Quick buy

A setting in the terminal that lets one tap buy from a ready wallet, with no review, inside limits you set once. See Quick buy.

Review sheet

The sheet that opens before anything is signed. It lists exactly what will be sent. Approve and send signs that plan and nothing else.

Approval

Your tap on Approve and send. A plan is valid for a short time, shown on the sheet; if anything changes, it expires and you review a fresh one.

Slippage

How far the price may move against you between the review and the trade. Trade offers 1%, 3% and 5%; Quick buy offers 3%, 5% and 10%.

Priority fee

An extra network fee that asks validators to include a transaction sooner.

Tip

A small payment to the sending service on Fast and Faster trades, on top of the priority fee.

Sender

Helius Sender, the service that carries Fast and Faster trades to validators. Standard trades go through your own RPC.

Fast and Faster

The two speed settings above Standard. Fast adds at most 0.00005 SOL to a trade, Faster at most 0.002 SOL. See Speed settings.

Bonding curve

How a new pump.fun token trades before it has a pool: the price follows a fixed curve as people buy and sell.

Migrated

A pump.fun token whose curve is complete and that now trades in a pool, usually on PumpSwap.

PumpSwap

pump.fun's own pool exchange, where tokens trade after their curve completes.

Routed trade

A trade in a token that did not launch on pump.fun, or that left it for another exchange. Jupiter finds the route. See Which tokens can I trade?.

The terminal

Dev

The wallet that created the token.

Bundled

Wallets, other than the dev, that bought in the same slot the token was created in.

Sniper

Wallets that bought within the 7 slots after the creation slot, about 3 seconds.

Insider

Wallets that got the token from the creator or an early buyer without buying it.

Top 10

The share of supply held by the ten largest holders.

Sell initials

A sale sized to give back the SOL your buys of a token cost, less what earlier sales returned, so what stays is already paid for. See The token page.

P&L

Profit and loss: what a position is worth, or brought back, minus what it cost.

Account and keys

Recovery phrase

Your 24 words. They rebuild the whole account on any device. Anyone who has them controls the account.

A link and a code that copy your account to a second device. Treat the pair like the phrase. See Two devices.

RPC

The Solana node service the app reads from and sends through. The default is WiSP's Helius endpoint; you can use your own.

Access notice

The sheet Five services, on your behalf, which asks before the app reads your account or contacts any outside service.

Lock

Closing the account in this browser. The app reloads and the keys leave memory.

Fees and $WiSP

Platform fee

WiSP's fee on each buy and each sale: 0.5%, lower with an invite or a $WiSP tier. It is a public transfer to the WiSP treasury. See Fees.

Pool provider fee

The pool's own charge on every withdrawal from it, including each wallet funding: 0.006 SOL plus 0.35%.

Tier

A lower platform fee for holding or locking $WiSP. See Holder tiers.

Lock (tiers)

A Jupiter Lock of $WiSP that nobody can cancel and that releases nothing for at least 90 days. It counts for the lower lock tiers.

Invite code

A friend's code. Applied before your first shield, it halves your platform fee for 30 days. See Invite codes when you shield.
