WiSP documentation

WiSP is a private trading app for Solana. Each token you buy sits in a fresh wallet funded from a privacy pool, and every key stays in your browser.

On this page

WiSP lets you trade Solana tokens without putting your main wallet's name on every trade. You move SOL into a shielded pool once. From then on, each token you buy is bought by a wallet that did not exist a moment earlier, funded from the pool at a standard size. When you sell everything, the SOL goes back into the pool and the next token gets another new wallet.

The trades themselves stay public, like every Solana transaction. What changes is that nothing on chain ties those wallets to you, or to each other. Only your copy of the app knows they belong together.

The diagram in words

Step 1, shield: SOL moves from your wallet into the pool. This deposit is public: your wallet, the amount and the time.

Step 2, fund a fresh wallet: the pool pays a new wallet at a standard size. There is no on-chain transfer from your wallet to this one.

Step 3, buy and sell: the fresh wallet trades the token. The trade is public, from a wallet with no history.

Step 4, return: after a full sale the SOL goes back into the pool. The next token gets a different fresh wallet.

What WiSP does not do

  • It does not hold your money. SOL at rest sits in the Privacy Cash pool, which WiSP does not run. Open positions sit in wallets whose keys exist only in your browser.
  • It does not hide trades. Every buy and sell is an ordinary public transaction. Amounts and timing can still hint at a link, which is why sizes are standard and slower privacy profiles exist.
  • It does not keep a list of your wallets. The map of which wallets are yours lives in an encrypted file in your browser, under your password and your 24-word recovery phrase.

Where to start

Who these docs are for

Traders who want to use the app. Each how-to page names the screen, quotes the buttons as the app shows them, and ends with what the step makes public and what it costs. If you build agents or tools, start at WiSP for agents.

In the app, Help in the menu (under More) opens these docs, and the ? beside a screen's heading opens the page for that screen: Shield opens Shield SOL (or Withdraw on its Withdraw tab), Positions opens Your positions, Trade opens Buy a token, Sweeps opens Returning SOL to the pool, Activity opens Activity, Privacy opens Privacy profiles, Keys opens Back up and restore and Invite opens Invite friends. They open in a new tab; the docs send nothing back to the app.
