Arrive from another chain

Send Zcash, Bitcoin, Ether or USDC from any wallet. NEAR Intents swaps it to SOL at your funding address, and you shield it with one approval.

The diagram in words

Coming in: you send Zcash, Bitcoin, Ether or USDC to a deposit address from any wallet on that chain. NEAR Intents swaps it and pays SOL to your funding address. You then shield it into your private balance.

Leaving: the pool pays a NEAR Intents swap address from your private balance. NEAR Intents pays the other chain's asset to the address you gave. A refund comes back to your funding address.

Steps

  1. Open Shield. Scroll to Arrive from another chain.
  2. Choose what you will send: Zcash, Bitcoin, Ether, USDC on Ethereum, USDC on Base or USDC on Arbitrum.
  3. Under About how much you will send, type the amount.
  4. Under Refund address on that chain, paste your own address there. If the swap cannot complete, it goes back here.
  5. Read the quote line, for example "About 0.42 SOL ($71.20) arrives at your funding address, at least 0.41 · about 5 min once your deposit confirms."
  6. Tap Get a deposit address. A QR code and the address appear under Send to.
  7. From your wallet on that chain, send at least the amount the note names to that address.
  8. Wait. The status chip moves from Waiting for your deposit to Deposit seen, confirming, Swapping and Delivered.
  9. When the SOL arrives, the toast says so and a button offers to shield it, for example Shield 0.417 SOL now: what the funding address holds, less 0.003 SOL kept for the shield's fees. Tap it, check the review and tap Approve and send.

How long it takes

The note under the address gives the wait for each chain once your deposit confirms: Zcash "a few minutes", Bitcoin "ten to twenty minutes", Ethereum "a few minutes", Base and Arbitrum "a minute or two". In tests on 21 October 2026, SOL from Zcash reached the funding address about five minutes after the send.

The deposit address stays valid for about six hours; the card shows how long is left.

Sending more or less than the quote

The quote assumes the amount you typed. If you send more, the extra is swapped at the rate of that moment. If you send less than the minimum, the status reads Deposit below the minimum · send the rest to the same address.

If something goes wrong

  • "Quote unavailable right now: the swap service did not answer." Try again in a minute.
  • "Cross-chain service refused the request: …" The amount may be too small, or the address wrong. The reason is shown after the colon.
  • Refunded. The toast reads The swap was refunded to your refund address.
  • Address expired. Get a new deposit address before you send. Do not send to an expired one.

To check on a transfer, use Cross-chain transfers on the same screen and tap the refresh button. Each row has a View the payout link.
